Still have questions? Book a meeting with us and we will guide you through the entire process. Book a meeting

What does the interview involve?

The interview is a 30 minute conversation where you and an expert discuss your experience with digestion, food, and gut health. Whether you currently have symptoms or are simply curious about your gut balance. The interview will not be recorded. There is no preparation needed and no obligation to do the test afterward. The goal is to understand where women feel uncertain or stuck when it comes to gut health.

What does the test consist of?

The test has three components:

1) Stool test

We analyze your gut microbiome to understand which bacteria are present and how active they are. That means that you will send your poop to the laboratory. We will show you a detailed explanation on how to handle this. No worries, we gut you covered ;)

We collaborate with a highly innovative lab in Europe that measures not only bacterial diversity, but also bacterial activity. This helps us gain more targeted insight into how your microbiome may influence digestive comfort and overall health.

2) Food & symptom logging (1–2 weeks)

Through our app, you log your meals in a very simple way: on meal level (e.g. overnight oats with banana), grams, or individual ingredients.

3) Personal interpretation & plan

We combine your microbiome results with your food and symptom data into a personal, food-first plan aimed at improving gut balance. A therapist specialized in women’s health always reviews and approves the plan. A personal consultation is optional.

This combination allows you to see how your eating pattern relates to your gut balance, whether you experience symptoms or not.

Is this test only for people with gut complaints?

No.

The test is relevant for both:

  • women with recurring gut complaints (bloating, cramps, irregular stool), and
  • women without clear symptoms who want to understand their gut balance and how to eat in a way that supports long-term gut and overall health.

Gut balance plays a central role in digestion, energy, immunity, and general wellbeing.

Am I required to do the test after the interview?

No.

The interview is completely separate from the test. You can decide afterward whether the test feels relevant for you.

What kind of insights do I get from the test?

You gain insight into:

  • How your gut microbiome is functioning
  • How your eating pattern supports or disrupts your gut balance
  • How food may relate to symptoms, if present
  • Practical dietary adjustments tailored to your body

The focus is not on “perfect eating,” but on understanding what works for you.

Is the consultation with the practitioner mandatory?

No.

A practitioner specialized in women’s health is involved in every case. They review and approve each plan to ensure it is clinically sound, safe, and appropriate for your situation. This means the recommendations you receive are not purely data-driven, but clinically and nutritionally grounded.

A 30-minute personal consultation with the practitioner is optional. During this consult, you can go through your results in more detail, ask questions, and discuss how to apply the recommendations in daily life.

You can choose to have this consultation before or after the test, depending on what feels most useful for you.

What sets Gutsie apart from other tests?

Female-first, built with women’s health specialists

Gutsie is designed specifically for women and works exclusively with therapists specialized in women’s health. While truly female-specific gut diagnostics are still emerging, every participant helps us build toward more tailored, female-informed insights.

Root-cause focused, not rule-based

Instead of giving generic lists of foods to avoid or follow, we explain why certain foods may help or worsen gut balance. We look at how your nutrition interacts with your microbiome and how that fits into the bigger picture of your gut health.

Personalized insights for you

We combine microbiome data, real-life eating patterns, and symptoms into one coherent interpretation. This turns complex data into clear, actionable understanding rather than isolated results.

Science-led, clinically reviewed

Our recommendations are grounded in the latest scientific and clinical research and are always reviewed by a therapist to ensure safety and relevance.

In short:

Gutsie helps you understand your gut, not just manage it, and by participating, you contribute to building better, female-specific gut health insights for the future.
